1. What Data We Collect

pressenter is designed to respect your privacy. We collect minimal data:

Data you provide:

  • Email address (only when you purchase a license key via Razorpay)
  • Files you import into pressenter remain on your device only — we never collect them

Data collected automatically:

  • Device identifier: When you activate a license key, pressenter generates a unique identifier from your device's hardware and operating system. Used solely for license binding and device limit enforcement.
  • App version check: We check our repository for updates — no personal identifiers sent, only your current app version
  • Optional crash reports: You choose whether to send them

2. Device Identifier and License Binding

A device identifier is a unique ID generated from your device's hardware and operating system. pressenter uses this to bind your license key to your device(s) and prevent license sharing.

When you activate a license, pressenter generates the identifier and sends it to Keygen along with your email and license key. Keygen stores the binding. On subsequent launches, your identifier is verified to confirm your license is still valid on that device.

Privacy: The device identifier cannot be used to identify you without your email address. It is not personally identifiable on its own. Once your license expires, the binding is no longer needed.

3. Third-Party Partners

Razorpay (Payment Processing): Processes your payment card and transaction information. We only receive confirmation and your email address.

Keygen (Licensing): Stores your license key and device binding. We can view this in our Keygen dashboard for support purposes only.

Core Principle: Your files never leave your device. We never see them. Machine data is managed by Keygen for license validation only.

4. Geographic Restriction

pressenter is operated by an India-based independent project and is intended for use within India only. If you're located outside India, you acknowledge:

  • This policy is governed by Indian law
  • pressenter does not comply with international data protection regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
  • Use outside India is at your own risk

Terms of Use

1. License Grant

By purchasing or using pressenter, you're granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the application in accordance with these terms.

What you can do:

  • Install and use pressenter on your authorized device(s)
  • Create presentations and project to external displays
  • Use the app offline after installation

What you cannot do:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, or extract source code
  • Modify or create derivative works
  • Rent, lease, or share your license key
  • Remove the watermark (free version)
  • Use for commercial service provision without licensing agreement

2. Device Limits

  • Free Version: Unlimited devices (with watermark)
  • Basic (₹399): One device only, lifetime
  • Premium (₹1999): Two devices, both active simultaneously, lifetime
Important: Switching to a new device requires a new license purchase (Basic) or reactivation (Premium). No refunds for device changes.

3. No Warranty

pressenter is provided "AS IS" without warranties. We don't guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, or suitability for your specific purpose.

4. Limitation of Liability

We're not liable for:

  • App crashes, malfunctions, or data loss
  • Third-party issues (hardware, OS, projectors)
  • Presentation failures or audience impact
  • Keyboard shortcuts you press (e.g., Win+D exposing your desktop)

5. Geographic Restriction

pressenter is governed solely by Indian law. Non-Indian users acknowledge this and waive claims for compliance with their local laws.

2. License Activation

Your license is bound to your email address and device identifier (generated from your device's hardware and OS). This prevents license sharing.

3. Device Changes

  • Basic: Purchase a new license for a new device (old license remains on old device)
  • Premium: Activate the same key on up to two different devices

4. Termination

We may terminate your license if you violate these terms, attempt to crack the app, or engage in fraud. No refund is issued upon termination.

No Refund Policy

Core Policy

We do not offer refunds under any circumstance. Once you purchase a license key, the transaction is final and non-reversible.

Why? pressenter is a one-time purchase, not a subscription. A free, fully-featured watermarked version is available to test before you buy.

Refund Exceptions

In rare cases, if a critical bug causes significant issues, we may at our sole discretion offer a refund or credit. There is no obligation.

How to Test Before Buying

  • Download the free watermarked version
  • Uses identical codebase to paid versions
  • All features available (except watermark)
  • Use forever at no cost

Download and test thoroughly before purchasing.

Payment Disputes

Payment disputes are handled by Razorpay. Contact Razorpay directly if you have payment issues — we cannot process refunds on our end.

What is pressenter?

pressenter is a dedicated presentation control layer for Windows and macOS. It sits between your laptop and your external display (projector or monitor) and acts as a deliberate gatekeeper: nothing reaches the audience's screen unless you explicitly send it there.

The Problem We Solve

Every presenter knows the anxiety: connecting to a projector means your laptop becomes a liability. Files, emails, open tabs, desktop clutter — all of it sits one accidental click away from being broadcast to an audience.

Existing tools (PowerPoint, Zoom, OBS) solve adjacent problems but leave this core issue untouched. pressenter is laser-focused on solving it.
